SUB CENTRES

CCEK has at present 74 sub centres, each of which has an Advisory Committee comprising the College Principal, staff and the Manager of the Continuing Education Programme [who is selected by the Institutional Programme Implementation Unit of the institution concerned.]

The sub centres can devise/design any programme that helps employability enhancement. 25% of the excess of income over expenditure made by each sub centre goes to the fund of the parent body.

Centre for Continuing Education Kerala imparts need-based training to the unemployed youth, provides special training for small-scale industries, publishes study material for regular and distance education programme, and conducts vocational training. CCEK also runs an engineering college at Munnar, named ‘College of Engineering Munnar’ [CEM].

The persistent effort of CCEK has been to make optimum use of the under-utilised infrastructure in educational institutions and make it income generating. The Centre is dedicated entirely to social amelioration besides the growth and development of technical education, industry and business.
